Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 250 ml / gr milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 60 gr sugar
  • 25 gr corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 180 ml/ gr whipping cream
  • 2-3 bananas
  • Biscuits

Instructions

  1. 1For the vanilla pudding / diplomat cream, combine milk, egg yolks, sugar, corn starch, and vanilla in a pot.
  2. 2Cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until it thickens into a custard.
  3. 3Transfer the pudding to a bowl and cover the surface with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming. Let it cool completely.
  4. 4Whip the whipping cream until it forms soft peaks.
  5. 5Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled pudding to create a smooth cream.
  6. 6Slice the bananas.
  7. 7Crush biscuits.
  8. 8To assemble the banana pudding, layer crushed biscuits, pudding, and sliced bananas in glasses.
  9. 9Repeat the layers.
  10. 10Garnish with crushed biscuits.
