Gulasch Halb und Halb

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Rinderkeule
  • 1 kg Schweinekeule
  • 800 g Zwiebeln
  • 3 Knoblauchzehen
  • Abrieb einer Zitrone
  • 3 EL Tomatenmark
  • 3 EL Paprikapulver
  • Salz
  • Pfeffer
  • Pflanzenöl zum Anbraten

Instructions

  1. 1In a heated pot with oil, sear the beef and pork until nicely browned on all sides. Do not stir too much; rather let the meat roast.
  2. 2Add the garlic and onions. Sauté the onions until translucent and slightly browned.
  3. 3Add salt, pepper, and paprika powder, and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  4. 4Add the tomato paste and the lemon zest.
  5. 5Add water so all is really well benetzt.
  6. 6Put the lid on, turn down the heat, so that the dish only gently simmers and cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes,
  7. 7The onions are cooked and have blended with the sauce. The beef and pork should be tender.

Tips

  • *Feel free to add fresh mushrooms or peppers.
