- Potatoes (3)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red onion (1)
- Garlic (1 head)
- Butter (1 block)
- Red pepper flakes
- Dried herbs
- Cooking oil
- Whiskey
- Water
- Coffee grounds
- Brown sugar
Instructions
- 1Prepare the steak: Trim, remove silverskin and season with salt and pepper. Pound pepper corns with salt.
- 2Build a campfire: Arrange a cooking frame, and find an appropriate flat stone to use as a griddle.
- 3Dice the red onion and garlic, then prepare the garlic butter sauce: Add butter, diced onion, and garlic to the pan. Add red pepper flakes and dried herbs.
- 4Wrap potatoes tightly in aluminum foil and place them in the coals to bake.
- 5Pour whiskey to tenderize steaks.
- 6Sear the seasoned steaks on the griddle over the campfire, adding whiskey to the cooking surface.
- 7Prepare campfire coffee: Add brown sugar and whiskey to the pot, then light it up to dissolve the sugar. Add water and stir in coffee grounds.
- 8Once tender, slice baked potatoes and add the garlic butter sauce.
- 9Slice steak then add to the garlic butter sauce and enjoy while hot.
