Lemon Cake

Ingredients

  • 200g soft butter
  • 150g sugar
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 eggs (size M)
  • 250g wheat flour
  • 1 pack baking powder
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Juice of 1 medium lemon (for glaze)
  • 300g powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. 1Combine all of the cake ingredients into a bowl and mix until well combined.
  2. 2Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. 3Bake the cake at 180°C (356°F) with top and bottom heat for 50 minutes.
  4. 4While the cake cools, make the glaze: combine the lemon juice and powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  5. 5Pour the glaze over the cake.
  6. 6Cut into slices and serve.
