Mirchi Ka Salan Hyderabadi Style

Ingredients
- Peanuts 50 gm (Roasted)
- Dry coconut 50 gm (Roasted)
- Poppy seeds 25 gm (Roasted)
- Coriander 3 tsp (Roasted)
- Onion 200 gm (Half fried)
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Big green chilli 200 gm
- Oil 125 gm
- Zeera 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds Half a tsp
- Black cumin Half a tsp
- Curry leaves
- Ginger-garlic paste
- Green chillies
- Turmeric Half a tsp
- Salt 2 tsp
- Tamarind pulp One cup
- Coriander leaves
- Water Half cup
Instructions
- 1First, grind the spices for the recipe: roasted peanuts, roasted dry coconut, roasted poppy seeds, roasted coriander, half-fried onion.
- 2Take a container and add some oil to it. After the oil gets hot add big green chilies and sauté them until they turn a little brown. Remove them and set them aside.
- 3In the same container add more oil, followed by zeera, rai, methi, black cumin, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and turmeric. Saute well.
- 4Add the spice mix from step 1 along with some water. Then add salt to taste. Leave this to cook for a while.
- 5After this, add tamarind pulp, sauteed green chillies, coriander and curry leaves. Add a little bit of water and leave it to simmer for a bit.
- 6The oil has now floated to the top and the salan is ready. Serve with biryani and enjoy!
