Ingredients
- Pasta (penne) 1 pound
- Onion 1/2 cup, chopped
- Garlic 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato paste 3 tablespoons
- Heavy cream 1 cup
- Bacon 1/4 cup, cooked and chopped
- Italian seasoning 1 tablespoon
- Chili flakes 1 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- 1Cook pasta according to package directions.
- 2While pasta cooks, sauté onion and garlic in a large pan until softened.
- 3Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- 4Pour in heavy cream and stir in bacon, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
- 5Simmer for 5 minutes.
- 6Drain pasta and add to the sauce.
- 7Stir to combine.
- 8Top with mozzarella cheese and fresh parsley.
- 9Serve immediately.
Tips
- *Add vodka to the sauce after tomato paste for a more intense flavor.
- *Use other types of pasta if desired.
