Vendakkai Fry

Ingredients
- Oil – 2 tbl spoon
- Mustard – ½ teaspoon
- Onion – half
- Curry leaves
- Chopped bhindi (vendakkai) – 300 grams
- Dry chilli – 4
- Cinnamon stick
- Cloves – 3
- Garlic cloves – 3 to 5
- Roasted gram (pottukadalai) – 2 tbl spoon
- Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
- Pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Coconut – 2 tbl spoon
- Turmeric powder
- Salt
Instructions
- 1Heat oil in a pan.
- 2Add mustard seeds, let it splutter.
- 3Add onion and curry leaves. Saute for 30 seconds.
- 4Add chopped bhindi (lady's finger) and saute well. Cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame, stirring occasionally.
- 5Grind dry chilli, cinnamon stick, cloves, garlic cloves, roasted gram, cumin seeds, pepper, and coconut into a coarse powder.
- 6Add turmeric powder and salt to the cooked bhindi. Mix well.
- 7Add the ground powder and mix well.
- 8Cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
- 9Serve hot.
